Following its premiere at IFA 2025, the new Sharp RP-TT100 is now available. The fully automatic Bluetooth turntable for vinyl beginners is designed to offer vinyl fans a mixture of retro feel and modern features for 199 euros (RRP).
Between nostalgia and beginner-friendliness
The model features a discreet, matt black housing with aluminum platter and metal tonearm. A tinted dust cover is also included in the scope of delivery. In addition to the classic phono output with switchable line mode, the RP-TT100 offers a Bluetooth 5.4 interface for wireless connection to compatible loudspeakers. Sharp refers here to its own CP-SS30 bookshelf speakers (169 euros RRP). The wireless option may be a quick solution for beginners, but purists are more likely to opt for analog cabling.
Features and functions
The technical basis is the widely used Audio-Technica AT-3600L cartridge, which can be found in many entry-level devices. It is complemented by an automatic tonearm control (start, fast forward, rewind, pause and repeat). A USB-C port allows records to be digitized on a PC, and the RP-TT100 also offers three-stage gain control and an earth connection. A remote control facilitates operation.
Classification
With a price of just under 200 euros, Sharp is clearly positioned in the entry-level segment. Features such as Bluetooth or USB recording appeal to a younger target group who want to integrate vinyl into their everyday lives in an uncomplicated way. However, you shouldn’t expect audiophile qualities in this price range – the RP-TT100 is aimed more at users who value design and convenience.
