In the U.S., Victrola has been one of the best-known names in the vinyl segment for decades. Here in Germany, however, the brand has so far remained something of an insider’s secret. While many manufacturers combine classic turntables with modern streaming features, Victrola takes it a step further. With the new Wave and the Soundstage —available in Europe for the first time—the U.S. manufacturer is introducing a coordinated vinyl system that combines analog records with the latest wireless technology, such as Bluetooth 5.4, aptX HD, and Auracast.
Wave combines analog technology with Auracast
The Victrola Wave is designed for vinyl enthusiasts who want to enjoy classic records wirelessly just as easily as they would on a conventional hi-fi system. It features a low-resonance MDF chassis with an aluminum platter, an aluminum tonearm, and an adjustable counterweight. In the new walnut finish, Victrola has also equipped the turntable with an Ortofon OM 5E cartridge, whose headshell can be swapped out for other systems if desired.
In addition to a switchable phono preamp and standard RCA outputs, the Wave features Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX Adaptive and aptX HD, as well as Auracast Broadcast Audio. This allows you to stream vinyl records simultaneously to any number of compatible speakers or headphones. Conversely, the turntable also accepts music via its Bluetooth input, serving as a wireless audio hub.
Soundstage Replaces Traditional Speakers
To go along with this, Victrola is bringing the Soundstage —which was already unveiled at CES 2026—to Europe on October 1. Instead of two separate speakers, the compact system features a flat soundbase on which the turntable sits directly. This saves space and is also designed to keep vibrations away from the cartridge.
To achieve this, Victrola combines a newly developed Symmetric Drive woofer —featuring counter-rotating diaphragms to reduce cabinet vibrations—with Balanced Mode Radiators (BMR) for a wide stereo image. In addition to Bluetooth, RCA, USB-C, and AUX connections are also available. Auracast also allows for the integration of additional compatible speakers. The Soundstage can also be used as a Bluetooth speaker independently of the turntable.
Prices and availability
The Victrola Wave is now available in Europe and costs 399 euros. The new walnut version comes standard with the Ortofon OM-5E cartridge.
The Victrola Soundstage will be released on October 1 for 329 euros. At the same time, Victrola is launching a limited-edition Third Man Records version of the Wave in the U.S. Aside from its distinctive yellow-and-black design and an exclusive slipmat, the features are the same as those of the standard model.
