Sony is expanding its vinyl portfolio and today introduces the PS-LX3BT and the PS-LX5BT, two new turntables that make it easier to enter the world of records, as well as the convenient re-enjoyment in everyday life. Both models combine the classic vinyl listening experience with modern, wireless audio technology and are aimed at music fans who want to enjoy their record collection flexibly via speakers or headphones.

Comfort meets sound quality

Both the Sony PS-LX3BT and the PS-LX5BT rely on fully automatic playback at the touch of a button and, in addition to the classic cable connection, offer a Bluetooth connection. aptX, aptX Adaptive and Hi-Res Wireless Audio are supported, which means that a detailed, balanced sound is possible even wirelessly.

The common features also include:

  • high-quality pickup
  • three-stage gain control
  • aluminum platter
  • transparent dust cover
  • Support for 33⅓ and 45 rpm (7″ and 12″)

Sony also addresses the issue of sustainability: the packaging is made of recycled materials.

PS-LX3BT: The easy entry into the world of vinyl

The PS-LX3BT is aimed specifically at vinyl newcomers and anyone looking for an uncomplicated, everyday turntable. Thanks to the integrated phono preamplifier, the device can be operated immediately via cinch cable or wirelessly via Bluetooth. The simple, living room-friendly design blends discreetly into different furnishing styles, while the sound is deliberately warm and analog – ideal for relaxed listening to music in everyday life.

PS-LX5BT: More precision, more sound depth

With the PS-LX5BT, Sony is addressing more demanding vinyl fans. A stable, one-piece housing, an aluminum tonearm, a resonance-damping rubber mat and an optimized circuit design reduce vibrations and preserve the sonic purity.

A higher-quality pickup provides a wide soundstage and rich detail. In addition to wireless playback, the PS-LX5BT offers gold-plated audio jacks for high-quality cable connections. Visually, the model remains deliberately minimalist and high-quality – a turntable that emphasizes technology and design equally.

We Are Vinyl: Vinyl as an experience

Accompanying this, Sony, with Sony Music Entertainment, is positioning the “We Are Vinyl” project. The curated online store combines selected records with storytelling and interactive content. The aim is to convey vinyl not only as a sound carrier, but as a cultural experience – especially for a younger generation.
