With the new FiiO K17 R2R Pro, FiiO expands its portfolio with a versatile desktop DAC, streamer, and headphone amplifier designed to combine uncompromising sound quality with modern technology. The device builds on the experience of the K15 and K19 models and is clearly aimed at an audiophile audience.
R2R technology for natural sound
At the heart of the K17 R2R Pro is a proprietary 5+24-bit R2R resistor ladder architecture. This technology is designed to deliver a particularly natural tonality with fine harmonic details and an analog feel. Users can switch between NOS (Non-Oversampling) and OS (Oversampling) modes to flexibly adapt playback to the music material and personal preferences.
Powerful headphone amplifier
The DAC section is complemented by a discrete Class AB transistor headphone amplifier. With an output power of 4,000 mW per channel, the K17 R2R Pro offers plenty of headroom for a wide range of headphones, from sensitive in-ears to power-hungry planar models. The result is a combination of power, control, and detail.
Streaming and connectivity
As an all-in-one solution, the device integrates local playback and streaming functions alongside the DAC and amplifier. Thanks to QPlay support, high-resolution content can be easily streamed from compatible devices. Dual-band Wi-Fi with 2.4 and 5 GHz as well as Gigabit Ethernet ensure stable connections.
Precise sound adjustment
A 31-band parametric EQ with Auto-EQ function allows for targeted fine-tuning of the sound. Users can precisely adjust frequency ranges or create individual sound profiles. Control is handled via the FiiO Control app on a smartphone or via a web browser, with settings saved directly on the device.
Clean signal processing
To minimize interference, the K17 R2R Pro features an integrated USB ground loop isolator that reduces unwanted noise in digital connections. Additionally, a low-noise 35-watt linear power supply ensures a stable and clean power delivery to all components.
Ease of use and design
A 3.93-inch touchscreen allows for intuitive control of all functions, from playback to EQ settings. The user interface is complemented by visual elements such as VU meters and a clock display. For added convenience, a high-quality aluminum infrared remote control is included.
Flexible use in HiFi systems
The K17 R2R Pro is designed both as a standalone headphone solution and as a central hub in a HiFi system, offering versatile application possibilities in modern audio setups.

Initial listening opportunities will be available at the Vienna High-End starting June 4th in the “World of Headphones” area. Global pricing is expected to be announced during the course of June.
