Jamo kicks off with the new Concert Element series

Scandinavian design with real impact

With the Concert Element series, Jamo is introducing a completely new speaker family designed to combine Scandinavian design with modern acoustic solutions. Instead of a classic speaker look, Jamo opts for a distinctive design language with circular, prominently raised driver modules, slim cabinets, and living-room-friendly proportions. At the same time, the series promises high-quality driver technology, flexible placement, and a clearly audiophile sound concept.

Speakers as a visible centerpiece

The series’ new design concept is particularly striking. The driver modules don’t sit flush in the cabinet; instead, they visibly protrude and form the visual focal point of each speaker. According to Jamo, this is meant to deliberately bring the speaker’s actual function to the fore. At the same time, the cabinets remain comparatively slim, so despite the generously sized drivers, the models still look living-room-friendly.

The series comes in two color options: “Onyx” and “Northern Frost”. Magnetically attached fabric grilles are also included.

New drivers with natural-fiber cones

On the technical side, Jamo relies on specially developed drivers from SB Acoustics for its passive speakers. Notable is the use of Scandinavian nettle fibers for the midrange and woofer cones. These are said to combine low weight with high stiffness, reducing distortion. The package is rounded out by aluminum phase plugs to control resonances and coloration in the midrange.

For the highs, 25 mm soft-dome tweeters with a waveguide are used, which Jamo says deliver a balanced mix of precision, spaciousness, and airiness.

Flexible placement despite bass reflex

Another focus is placement flexibility. Instead of classic rear bass-reflex ports, Jamo uses downward-firing bass-reflex systems on all models. This is intended to make the speakers easier to position in the room without compromising bass performance.

Concert Element 50: Compact bookshelf speaker

The Jamo Concert Element 50 is the entry point to the series. The compact two-way bookshelf speaker uses a 165 mm mid-woofer and, according to the spec sheet, reaches down to 45 Hz. Sensitivity is rated at 89.5 dB. Despite its compact dimensions, the model is explicitly designed as a full-fledged hi-fi speaker.

Concert Element 70: Slim floorstanding speaker

Next up is the Jamo Concert Element 70, a compact three-way floorstanding speaker. It combines a 200 mm woofer with a separate 130 mm midrange driver. According to Jamo, the model is particularly well suited to larger rooms without requiring a bulky cabinet. The frequency range extends down to 40 Hz.

Concert Element 90: The top model in the series

At the top sits the Jamo Concert Element 90. The large three-way floorstanding speaker features a 250 mm woofer and a more elaborately designed dual-chamber cabinet. The woofer operates in a bass-reflex chamber, while the midrange driver is separately enclosed to avoid unwanted interactions. According to Jamo, the model reaches a lower cutoff frequency of 30 Hz, making it suitable for full-range playback even without an additional subwoofer.

Matching subwoofer for home theater and stereo

The series is complemented by the active Jamo Concert Element SW10. The subwoofer uses a sealed cabinet and a long-throw 250 mm driver. Rather than maximum SPL, Jamo emphasizes precision and control here. A DSP-controlled Class D amplifier delivers 150 W RMS or 300 W peak power. Variable crossover frequency, continuously adjustable phase, and EQ adjustment are designed to allow flexible integration into different setups.

Design-focused hi-fi series with a Scandinavian signature

With the new Concert Element series, Jamo is clearly positioning itself in the living-room-oriented premium hi-fi segment. The mix of striking design, natural materials, and modern acoustic solutions sets the series apart from classic speaker concepts. At the same time, the focus remains firmly on classic passive hi-fi technology with freely selectable amplifier pairings.

Prices for the Jamo Concert Element series

  • Jamo Concert Element 90: €2,599 per pair
  • Jamo Concert Element 70: €1,999 per pair
  • Jamo Concert Element 50: €1,159 per pair
  • Jamo Concert Element SW10: €729 each
