With “The Ones” active loudspeaker series, Finnish manufacturer Genelec highlights its combination of professional studio technology, individual design, and sustainable manufacturing at High End Vienna 2026. The compact three-way active loudspeakers will also be on display for the first time in the new Gaming Zone of the exhibition.
Active Loudspeakers for Music, Movies, and Gaming
The focus of the exhibition presence is on the 8341A and 8351B models from “The Ones” family. The series comprises a total of four different loudspeaker models, originally developed for professional recording studios, but now increasingly used in demanding home environments.
Technically, Genelec relies on its coaxial three-way concept. The tweeter and midrange driver operate as a point source, while a racetrack woofer integrated into the housing handles the bass range. The goal is particularly precise spatial imaging and uniform dispersion over a large listening area.
An essential component of the concept is the automatic room calibration GLM (Genelec Loudspeaker Manager). Using a measurement microphone and software, the system analyzes the acoustic properties of the listening room and adjusts frequency response, level, and timing accordingly. This allows the active loudspeakers to unleash their full potential even in acoustically challenging living spaces.

120 RAL Colors Instead of Classic Studio Gray
Particularly unusual for loudspeakers with professional roots is the wide selection of color variants. The loudspeakers, designed by design legend Harri Koskinen, are not only available in classic Genelec colors but can also be ordered in up to 120 different RAL shades upon request.
With this, Genelec is increasingly positioning the series as a design object for living spaces. The aluminum housings can be color-matched to the interior or deliberately staged as an eye-catcher.
Sustainability as Part of the Concept
In addition to sound and design, Genelec also emphasizes sustainability. The housings of “The Ones” models are manufactured in Finland from recycled aluminum. Production uses renewable energy.
Furthermore, the family business has been pursuing the goal of developing particularly durable products for years. All components are designed for long-term use and should be maintainable or repairable even after many years.
Premiere in the Gaming Zone
For the first time, Genelec is also participating in the new High End Gaming Zone, organized together with Konsolenfan.de. There, the manufacturer wants to show that the studio loudspeakers can impress not only in music productions or with audiophile music listeners but also demonstrate their strengths in movies and modern video games.
Genelec is thus acknowledging a development that many manufacturers are currently observing: high-quality active loudspeakers are increasingly used universally and no longer serve exclusively as classic HiFi or studio solutions.
Visitors to High End Vienna 2026 can find Genelec from June 4 to 7 in Hall X4 at booth P02/R01 within the Gaming Zone.
