The new Pro-Ject T2 Super Phono is a worthy successor to the critically acclaimed T1 and is designed to take the listening experience to a new level. The record player not only represents an evolutionary development. With its numerous audiophile innovations, it is set to redefine the standards in its price class. The focus is on the high-quality materials and precise workmanship that characterize the T2 Super Phono.
The chassis of the Pro-Ject T2 Super Phono has been carefully CNC-milled and enlarged to optimize stability. This design improvement contributes significantly to vibration damping and thus to the purity of the sound. Available in various high-quality finishes such as high-gloss black, satin white or walnut, the T2 Super Phono offers visual adaptability that blends seamlessly into any living environment. The design dispenses entirely with plastic parts and prevents unwanted vibrations inside the chassis thanks to meticulous manufacturing that eliminates cavities.

Crystal clear design too
A key element of the improved design is the T2’s glass plate. Compared to the previous model, it has been made heavier and thicker to ensure a resonance-free design. This modification eliminates the disadvantages often associated with plastic or lightweight metal alternatives and ensures a clean and unadulterated sound. In addition to these structural improvements, specially selected feet ensure that the T2 Super Phono is effectively isolated from ambient vibrations.
At the heart of the drive system is a high-quality motor that drives a belt system connected to an exclusive Pro-Ject T-Series sub-platter. This sub-platter rests on an ultra-precise main bearing, which is designed to ensure exceptionally smooth running. In contrast to many other products on the market that use unregulated DC motors, the T2 is characterized by an electronically regulated AC motor that ensures a constant speed. Electronic switching between 33 and 45 rpm enables versatile use and guarantees quiet and stable playback.

All-inclusive: High-quality phono preamp on board
One of the most significant innovations of the Pro-Ject T2 Super Phono is the integrated high-quality two-stage split passive MM phono preamplifier, which enables direct connection to Bluetooth and WLAN speakers with analog input and promises unadulterated playback of records. The use of a new decoder chip, the AKM 4493 from Asahi Kasei, offers improved sound quality compared to the ESS 9018 of the previous model. In addition to supporting DSD up to DSD256 and PCM up to 384 kHz/32 bit, the T2 features improved components, including Samsung resistors and capacitors, which directly affect the sound quality.
Another highlight is the tonearm of the Pro-Ject T2 Super Phono, which has a longer arm tube and an effective length of 9 inches for absolute precision in use. The rigid aluminum construction and new, low-friction bearings help improve sound quality, while the integrated headshell eliminates additional vibrations. An adjustable anti-skating system extracts the maximum from the pickup.
Available with sumiko needle
The T2 Super Phono is supplied with a high-quality Sumiko Rainier MM cartridge with an elliptical diamond stylus tip, which promises an authentic hi-fi experience. It would cost 175 euros individually. The whole thing is complemented by semi-symmetrical phono cables specially developed by Pro-Ject and an elegant dust cover that offers additional protection.

Handmade in Europe, the Pro-Ject T2 Super Phono, available in three colors for 650 euros, combines state-of-the-art technology with traditional craftsmanship.
