Klipsch Gig XXL – the new party box

They will rock you!

The US manufacturer Klipsch is expanding its portfolio of mobile, battery-powered Bluetooth speakers in its very own dynamic way: With the mobile party speaker Klipsch Gig XXL, there is now a direct competitor to the bestseller, the JBL Partybox 110. Even the recommended retail price of 399 Euros is almost identical.

The party box in tower format and 55 centimeters high is not only for those who want to provide spontaneous parties in the park, on the beach or in the garden with rich sound. The overall package is also quite interesting for live music and karaoke parties.

Lots of power, but lighter

Compared to the competitor, the Klipsch Gig XXL is quite a bit lighter (8.2 kg instead of 10.8 kg), and brings the larger bass drivers. A pair of 18 cm woofers should provide deep bass and a fair bit of extra oomph. The manufacturer speaks of over 110 decibels at a distance of half a meter with a low frequency response up to 50 Hz. In return, the battery lasts “only” 8 hours.

Thanks to a large handle recess at the back, the Gig XXL is easy to transport. It should always be operated in an upright position.

Intuitive operation, with microphone

As a special feature, the manufacturer supplies a microphone for announcements and karaoke sessions with the Gig XXL. An additional input can be assigned to electric guitars, keyboards or instruments with pickups. Besides Bluetooth, there is USB input as well as analog connections for input and output.

App control is not planned for the market launch. In return, the Klipsch Gig XXL has very clear and yet versatile control options: Two classic volume controls for music level and microphone as well as extra controls for instrument level and reverb make the Klipsch even interesting for solo entertainers, street musicians and spontaneous concerts in the park.

STEREO GUIDE makes every effort to subject the competitor to the JBL Partybox 110 to an acoustic test as soon as possible.
