AT-ERP5 for Music Lovers and Live Concerts
The Audio-Technica AT-ERP5 was designed specifically for users who want to protect their hearing without sacrificing a natural listening experience. The earplugs feature an open filter system designed to provide uniform attenuation across the entire frequency range. Noise reduction is rated at 21 dB SNR.
This makes the model particularly well-suited for concerts, festivals, rehearsal spaces, and other noisy environments where music should be heard as faithfully as possible.
AT-ERP3 for Everyday Use, the Office, and Travel
Audio-Technica positions the AT-ERP3 differently. The focus here is not on the listening experience, but on reducing distracting ambient noise. The closed-loop filter system focuses on attenuating mid and high frequencies. At 26 dB SNR, the noise reduction is actually slightly higher than that of its sister model.
The AT-ERP3 is designed, among other things, for open-plan offices, commuters, travel, or other situations where concentration and quiet are needed.
Certified Hearing Protection
Both models meet the requirements of the European standard EN 352 for hearing protection products. In addition, Audio-Technica uses antibacterial silicone earplugs and includes a carrying case with an integrated strap with each pair of earbuds.
The models also differ in appearance: The AT-ERP5 is available in black or gold, while the AT-ERP3 comes in black or gray.
