In a world where technology and fitness are increasingly merging, the two companies Sennheiser and Polar want to set new standards. Available now, the Sennheiser MOMENTUM Sport TWS in-ear headphones with Bluetooth transmission are the result of more than three years of development aimed at creating the ultimate audio experience for top sporting performance. Developed for athletes and sports enthusiasts, these headphones are designed to combine state-of-the-art fitness in-ear sensors with the natural sound quality that has made Sennheiser synonymous with excellent sound and proven in our reviews with sports headphones such as the Sport True Wireless.

David Holm, Sennheiser’s Sports Product Manager, emphasizes the importance of the headphones as a central element of the workout: “With the MOMENTUM Sport, we are transforming a simple training accessory into the core component of every workout.” These headphones are not only a technical masterpiece, but also a sonic masterpiece that motivates and supports active athletes to achieve their training goals.

The heartbeat in your ear

The technical innovation of the Sennheiser MOMENTUM Sport headphones lies in their precise in-ear sensors, which enable reliable measurement of heart rate and body temperature thanks to the low light pollution and constant conditions in the inner ear. The accuracy of these measurements, with a tolerance of only +/- 0.3 degrees Celsius for temperature and a range of 30 to 220 BPM for heart rate, represents a significant improvement over conventional methods.

The integration into the Polar Flow ecosystem expands the possibilities of these headphones enormously. For the first time, users of a non-Polar product can take full advantage of Polar’s elite biosensors and extensive data analysis ecosystem. This enables comprehensive tracking and analysis of performance, provides intelligent coaching and facilitates voice guidance during training.

Polar highlight with biosensor technology

Spiros Andreou, Business Product Manager at Polar, emphasizes the importance of this partnership: “These headphones represent the next evolutionary step for millions of athletes worldwide who have been waiting for such an innovation.” The combination of the new biosensors with Sennheiser’s first-class acoustics is designed to offer an unparalleled fitness experience.

In addition, the Sennheiser MOMENTUM Sport headphones make operation during training easier thanks to their innovative three-axis acceleration sensors, which allow control at the touch of a finger, even when wearing gloves. These headphones are not only compatible with fitness apps and devices such as Apple Watch, Garmin and Peloton, but will also fully support the Polar Vantage V3 Multisport Watch to ensure a seamless training experience.

Comprehensive fitness experience for active people

The Sennheiser MOMENTUM Sport in-ear headphones aim to be more than just a training device: a comprehensive fitness experience that paves the way for the future of athletic performance and personal well-being. With its market launch, a new chapter in the fusion of sound and sport is now set to begin, enabling athletes to redefine and exceed their limits.

The latest sports earphones from Sennheiser bring a wave of innovation to the training of sports enthusiasts. With the Sennheiser Smart Control app, compatible with both iOS and Android, the full potential of the MOMENTUM Sport earphones can be unleashed. Intuitive operation using simple tapping gestures makes handling during training child’s play. Their IP55 certification not only guarantees protection against sweat and water, but together with a robust housing and clog-resistant ear tips, they are ideally equipped for the challenges of any workout, no matter how intense, whether outdoors or indoors.

To guarantee a customized and secure fit for every wearer, the MOMENTUM Sport earphones are supplied with a comprehensive set of interchangeable ear tips and eartips. The design aims to provide optimum comfort and sound quality for medium to large ears. For those on the move, the robust IP54-certified carrying case not only offers protection, but also the option of recharging the earphones up to three times. This increases the initial playback time from six hours to a total of 24 hours without the need for a USB-C cable or Qi charging pad. A quick ten-minute charge via USB-C also promises up to 45 minutes of additional playback time for those moments when you’re in a hurry.

Sennheiser MOMENTUM Sport now in stores

Available in three attractive colors – Polar Black, Burned Olive and Metallic Graphite – the MOMENTUM Sport earphones can now be purchased via the official website sennheiser-hearing.com and at selected retailers. The recommended retail price is 329.90 euros (314.90 CHF). Whether this justifies the investment in a premium audio experience for daily training remains to be seen in the review. We will stay tuned.
