With the VIBES L and VIBES XL models, Sonoro Audio expands its portfolio with two portable speakers for indoor and outdoor use. The new models succeed the previous ESCAPE series and will be available from mid-March 2026 through specialist retailers and sonoro.com.

Two Sizes, Similar Concept

Both speakers are designed as battery-powered Bluetooth systems and are aimed at users who want to enjoy music flexibly in living spaces, on the patio, or in the garden. With a stated battery life of up to 16 hours and an IPX4 protection rating, the VIBES models are protected against splash water.

The Sonoro VIBES L features two 3-inch full-range drivers and a 6.5-inch subwoofer. The larger VIBES XL model uses four 3-inch full-range drivers and an 8-inch subwoofer. According to the manufacturer, both cover a frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. While the VIBES L weighs 7.5 kilograms, the XL weighs in at 12.3 kilograms—making both models clearly portable, though not designed as ultra-compact solutions.

Design and Materials

Visually, the speakers follow the existing Sonoro design language. Fabric grilles, aluminum elements, and an integrated carrying handle define their appearance. The models are available in black, white, and tan color variants.

With dimensions of 55 centimeters in height (L) and 73 centimeters (XL) respectively, the speakers are deliberately positioned between compact Bluetooth boxes and stationary HiFi systems.

Connectivity and Networking

The VIBES models support Bluetooth including current codecs as well as USB-C. Additionally, Auracast is integrated, allowing multiple compatible devices to be controlled synchronously. In combination with the sonoro AVATON, multiroom setups can be realized.

The speakers are controlled either directly on the device or via the sonoro VIBES app.

Prices and availability

The sonoro VIBES L is offered at a recommended retail price of €699, while the larger VIBES XL is priced at €999. Both models are expected to be available from mid-March 2026.
