For those who prefer a clear separation of functions in an amplifier, the Michi Prestige series now offers an alternative to the X430 integrated amplifier. The new Michi Prestige P430 handles source selection, volume control, and digital-to-analog conversion, while the S430 stereo power amplifier delivers up to two times 390 watts to the connected speakers.
Together, the two devices form the classic preamp-and-power-amp combination within Michi’s relatively new Prestige series, Rotel’s particularly sophisticated high-end brand. In addition to the X430 integrated amplifier, the Q430 CD player is also part of the series. Visually, all four components follow the same minimalist design language, featuring rounded aluminum housings and large color displays.
Michi Prestige P430: Analog and Digital Control Center
The Michi Prestige P430 is not intended to be a minimalist preamp limited to just a few sources. Rather, it is designed to bring together nearly all the components of a modern stereo system—from turntables and CD players to computers and televisions.
For analog sources, the P430 features a balanced XLR input, three unbalanced RCA high-level inputs, and a phono preamp for moving-magnet cartridges. On the output side, the P430 offers two balanced XLR outputs and two RCA preamp outputs. It also features a line output and two mono subwoofer outputs. A 6.35-millimeter headphone jack is conveniently located on the front panel.
Michi relies on a symmetrical signal path, separate power supplies, and optimized grounding. These measures are designed to reduce background noise and ensure that the sensitive audio signals pass through the preamp with as little interference as possible.

ESS Sabre 8-Channel DAC
At the heart of the digital section is an ESS Sabre ES9028PRO. The 32-bit DAC uses eight conversion channels and is paired with a sophisticated clocking system and its own jitter control.
Via the PC USB input, the Michi Prestige P430 processes PCM signals up to 32 bits and 384 kilohertz, as well as DSD256. For traditional digital sources, there are three coaxial and three optical inputs available. A coaxial and an optical digital output allow signals to be routed to additional converters or signal processors.
HDMI ARC also allows you to route TV audio to your stereo system. The interface supports two-channel PCM at up to 24 bits and 48 kilohertz, as well as shared control via HDMI-CEC. The P430 receives music wirelessly via Bluetooth with aptX HD and AAC.
Roon Tested certification confirms that the device has been tested for compatibility with the music management system. However, it is not the same as Roon Ready: The P430 does not have a dedicated Roon network streamer.

Michi Prestige S430: Class AB Power for High-End Speakers
The S430 is designed specifically for amplification. According to Michi, its Class AB power amplifiers deliver 230 watts per channel at 8 ohms and 390 watts per channel at 4 ohms. This should enable the stereo power amplifier to drive even high-power speakers with greater dynamic range and excellent control.
The foundation is a high-current linear power supply featuring an oversized toroidal transformer manufactured in-house. A large capacitor bank provides a short-term boost of additional energy for transients and powerful bass passages. Michi specifies a damping factor of 350, which suggests a high degree of electrical control over the speaker drivers.
Preamplifiers can be connected via balanced XLR or unbalanced RCA inputs. Two pairs of solid speaker terminals facilitate bi-wiring configurations. The power amplifier features a 12-volt trigger connection for synchronized power on/off control with the P430 or other components.
VU meters and spectrum display on the TFT screen
While the P430 displays the source, volume, and signal format on its large TFT display, the S430 offers various views for virtual VU meters and a spectrum display. In this way, Michi combines the sleek, minimalist design of the enclosure with a nod to classic amplifier displays. Both devices come with a remote control and are available exclusively in black.
The P430 measures 43.1 x 14.8 x 40.4 centimeters and weighs 11 kilograms. The power amplifier is nearly the same size at 43.1 x 14.8 x 40.5 centimeters, but weighs 17.5 kilograms due to its high-performance power supply.
Prices and availability
The Michi Prestige P430 and the Michi Prestige S430 are now available for order from authorized dealers. Delivery is expected to begin in October 2026.
Both components cost 3,999 euros each. The complete preamp and power amp combination therefore costs 7,998 euros.
