With the ProMedia Lumina, Klipsch introduces the next stage in the evolution of its well-known ProMedia series. According to the manufacturer, the new 2.1 desktop speaker system is aimed at gamers, content creators, remote workers, and music lovers who want to combine powerful sound with modern features on their desks.
Klipsch is building on the traditional ProMedia series, which has stood for horn-based compact loudspeakers since the late 1990s. The ProMedia Lumina are designed to further develop this approach and combine it with contemporary connectivity, app control, and customizable LED lighting. Klipsch speaks of a combination of “American Sound,” high precision, and modern versatility.
Horn technology and subwoofer in desktop format
The two-way satellites rely on a redesigned MicroTractrix horn, which Klipsch says ensures high efficiency, low distortion, and controlled dispersion in the near field. 3-inch mid-range drivers are designed to deliver dynamic detail for music, gaming, and content production.
A ported subwoofer with a laterally radiating 6.5-inch driver is provided for the low-frequency range. The slim portrait format should allow for unobtrusive placement. An integrated amplifier makes external power amplifiers superfluous, and a gain control allows the bass level to be adjusted.

Connections, apps, and sound modes
The ProMedia Lumina offer Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C and a 3.5 mm AUX input. The system is controlled via buttons on the speaker or via the Klipsch Connect Plus App for Android and iOS. For the first time, a Klipsch Control App for Windows PCs complements the offer.
According to the manufacturer, various sound options are available, including music and movie modes, a 6-band equalizer, a virtual surround mode for games, and a Night Mode that reduces bass and overall volume.
LED lighting and convenience functions
Each satellite is equipped with six LEDs. Several ambient light modes, individual colors, and music-reactive effects can be activated via the app. The Windows app offers additional functions such as Screen React, which transfers colors from the screen to the speaker LEDs, and Dynamic Lighting for synchronization with other RGB devices under Windows 11.
An automatic switch-on and switch-off function is designed to simplify operation by orienting the system to the power status of the connected PC.
Price and availability
The Klipsch ProMedia Lumina are available now from authorized dealers at a recommended retail price of 349 euros.
