With a comprehensive update, JBL is bringing its flagship models up to date. The over-ear JBL Tour ONE M3 and the true wireless JBL Tour PRO 3 earbuds benefit from revised sound tuning, an optimized user interface, and a new color variant.
At first glance, the changes appear subtle—but they target exactly the areas that are crucial in everyday use and listening tests: sound balance, ease of use, and system integration.
Fine-tuning with an impact: New JBL sound curve
At the heart of the update is a newly tuned sound curve for the Tour ONE M3. It is still based on the well-known Harman target curve but has been specifically refined.
The approach: less show, more control. The bass is tighter and more natural, while mids and highs are more finely differentiated. Voices stand out more clearly, instruments seem more authentic, and details are better resolved across the entire frequency spectrum.
Notably, the tuning was not only developed internally but also validated by listening panels (“Golden Ears”) and external measurements. The new sound signature is intended to move closer to the intent of the recording—a step toward more audiophile precision.
The updated sound curve makes its debut in the new Green Edition of the Tour ONE M3, but is also being rolled out to existing devices via an over-the-air update.

Operation reimagined: Smart Case and Smart Tx
Alongside the sound, JBL has also redesigned the user interface. The focus is on the Smart Charging Case of the Tour PRO 3 and the JBL Smart Tx.
A new menu system combines horizontal and vertical navigation for faster access to key functions. Larger icons, clearer typography, and an optimized structure reduce the number of steps required.
The update also adds functional improvements: access to audio sources, multi-room features like Auracast, or advanced settings becomes clearer and more direct. Overall, the operation feels noticeably more intuitive and closer to modern UI standards.
New color: British Racing Green meets copper
In addition to technology and software, JBL is expanding the series with a new color variant. A deep green with copper accents brings a much more classic, almost British-inspired touch to the lineup.
The combination of dark green and warm metallic details pushes the Tour series visually further toward the premium segment—without changing the familiar design language.

The new variants have been available since April 2026. The recommended retail prices are:
- JBL Tour PRO 3: 299.99 euros

The updates are being distributed to existing devices via OTA at the same time.
