With the GHS Wireless InfinitePlay, Glorious is introducing a wireless gaming headset that is designed to let you play without any connection interruptions, thanks to its interchangeable battery packs and internal backup battery.
Glorious may not be quite as well-known to fans of classic hi-fi and headphones as the major audio brands. However, the Dallas, Texas-based company has made a name for itself in the PC gaming scene since 2014—first with mouse pads, and later primarily with lightweight gaming mice and modular mechanical keyboards. According to the company’s own account, founder Shazim Mohammad launched the brand’s first XXL mouse pad in 2014; this was followed in 2016 by the GMMK, a modular mechanical keyboard. Today, Glorious describes itself as a global provider of PC gaming hardware and accessories.
With the GHS Wireless InfinitePlay, Glorious is now expanding its still-young line of gaming headsets. The main selling point is easy to explain: The wireless headset is designed to stay connected even when the battery is being replaced. With this, Glorious is addressing one of the classic annoyances of many wireless headsets: At some point, the supposedly wireless model ends up plugged into the charging cable again.
Replaceable battery plus internal reserve
The GHS Wireless InfinitePlay uses two interchangeable battery packs, each of which, according to the manufacturer, provides more than 85 hours of battery life. While one battery is in the headset, the second can be charged. That alone wouldn’t be a groundbreaking innovation, but Glorious combines the battery packs with what’s known as the Guardian Battery System.
This is an internal backup battery that continues to power the headset while the main battery is being replaced. It is designed to keepthe GHS Wireless InfinitePlay running formore than three hours, regardless of which main battery is installed. The key point: The connection shouldn’t be interrupted during a battery swap—no loss of radio signal, no missed team callouts, and no need to re-establish the connection.
40-mm driver in an angled position
For sound quality, Glorious relies on specially tuned 40-mm drivers, which are also used in the rest of the GHS series. The drivers are angled to better align with the natural position of the ears. The goal is more precise spatial localization—meaning, in everyday gaming, easier-to-pinpoint footsteps, sound effects, or vehicles.
This is a classic approach to gaming: The focus isn’t just on great sound, but on precise sound localization, speech intelligibility, and a soundscape that provides orientation during fast-paced gameplay. Especially for shooters, racing games, or large online lobbies, this can be more important than a distinctly audiophile tuning.
Microphone for Gaming and Everyday Use
Glorious also distinguishes between gaming setups and everyday mobile use when it comes to the microphone. For gaming sessions, there’s a detachable boom microphone with ambient noise cancellation. If you want to wear the headset more discreetly on the go, you can detach the microphone; then, a microphone built into the ear cup handles everyday tasks like phone calls or short voice chats.
There are two options for wireless connectivity. On PCs, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, a 2.4-GHz dongle ensures low latency. Bluetooth is also built in for phone calls, music, and Discord on the go. According to Glorious, you can switch between sources with the press of a button.
Controls on the headset itself
The GHS Wireless InfinitePlay features a rugged design and controls located directly on the ear cups. Two metal dials provide quick access to volume and the chat/game mix. It also includes a microphone mute button, media controls, and source selection right on the headset.
For longer sessions, Glorious highlights height-adjustable ear cups, memory foam cushions, and a floating headband. The headset is also designed to remain comfortable for people who wear glasses.
Glorious CORE Software with EQ
Adjustments are made using the Glorious CORE software. There, users can select equalizer presets or create their own EQ profiles. These can be saved directly to the headset, ensuring that your personalized sound is preserved whether you’re playing on a console or on the go. The software also displays the chat mix balance, microphone volume, and battery level.
