Backes&Müller sets new standards in the field of compact loudspeakers with the introduction of the Jubilé IO. This innovative loudspeaker sculpture, which despite its compact size boasts an impressive 3-way configuration and a system output of 800 watts, was developed at the company’s headquarters in Saarbrücken. The speakers offer a sound experience that is otherwise only expected from large floor-standing speakers thanks to the four built-in speakers per cabinet and the extensive cone surface.

A special innovation is the 30 centimeter diameter bass chassis, which is installed in a closed housing on the side and controlled by a sensor control for optimum impulse processing and dry bass. This technology guarantees perfect sound quality even in problematic locations such as corners, on walls or on lowboards.

Technologies that are poised to redefine sound reproduction

The Jubilé IO integrates several patented technologies that enable an outstanding listening experience even in acoustically difficult, untreated rooms. These include the line source co-developed with the Fraunhofer Institute, which effectively blocks out reflections from the ceiling and floor. This innovation makes it possible for the speakers to deliver outstanding performance even in acoustically non-optimized rooms without imaging errors or loss of resolution.

The Jubilé IO’s digital crossover technology ensures a time-correct transition and a perfectly focused dispersion pattern, which improves the sound in any environment. This is complemented by digital, time-correct room calibration, which ensures that the speakers are optimally adjusted to the specific room conditions.

Availability and demonstration

The Backes&Müller Jubilé IO will be available from authorized dealers from 9 May 2024 at a non-binding price of 19,999 euros. However, music lovers and audiophiles can get an idea of the Jubilé IO’s outstanding sound quality even earlier: The first public listening demonstration will take place at the HIGH END 2024 in Munich.

Experience Backes&Müller Jubilé IO at the HIGH END 2024

Anyone who would like to experience the Jubilé IO live will have the opportunity to do so at the HIGH END trade fair in Munich. Backes&Müller will be located in Atrium 4.1, Stand E125, in the MOC at Lilienthalallee 40. Don’t miss the chance to see this revolutionary technology in action and hear for yourself how the Jubilé IO redefines the boundaries of what is possible in compact loudspeakers.
