Teufel is expanding its portfolio with the MOTIV XL, a hi-fi streaming speaker with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and replaceable battery. The model is designed for use at home and on the go: carrying handles are integrated into the housing and it can be operated either from the mains or on the move.
Streaming & Multiroom
The speaker supports AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect as well as Internet radio via TuneIn and Bluetooth (AAC). According to the manufacturer, the MOTIV XL is also Roon Ready and can be integrated into existing Roon setups. Settings and control are made via the Teufel Home app.

Acoustics & technology
Inside, a 3-way system with a 200 mm long-throw Kevlar woofer, two midrange drivers and two tweeters is at work. A DAC up to 24 bit/96 kHz and Class D power amplifiers with 210 W RMS handle the signal processing; up to 103 dB SPL is specified. The in-house Dynamore technology is designed to produce a wide stereo panorama from a single housing – the manufacturer promises “exquisite stereo sound”.
Mobility & connections
The integrated, replaceable rechargeable battery is designed to run for up to 13 hours (the product should also play constantly at a higher level). Features include line-in (e.g. for record player, TV or notebook), microphone input for karaoke/announcements, power bank function, station buttons, illuminated control panel and auto-wake from stand-by.
With WLAN streaming, Roon connection and 3-way configuration, Teufel is positioning the MOTIV XL as an all-in-one hi-fi solution above the classic Bluetooth segment. Price and availability were not mentioned in the press release.
The MOTIV XL Wi-Fi speaker is now available in the Teufel online store and in all Teufel stores at a price of 899.99 euros. For the very quick, there is an exclusive Early Bird discount of 50.00 euros in the first period after the sales launch.
