Bowers & Wilkins is intensifying its long-standing cooperation with McLaren – in a new chapter that includes not only the collaboration with McLaren Automotive, but now also the official audio partnership status with the McLaren Formula 1 Team.
The renowned high-end audio manufacturer has been delivering innovative sound experiences for McLaren supercars since 2015, with products such as the Px8 McLaren Edition and the Zeppelin McLaren Edition making a name for themselves. We reviewed the standard versions of the Bluetooth headphones and the wireless speaker here and here ). The success story is now set to continue: In close coordination with the engineering team at McLaren Automotive, new products are being jointly developed that not only reflect the driving experience in the luxury supercars such as the McLaren Artura (click here for the review), but also the intense atmosphere behind the scenes of Formula 1.

The close technical collaboration extends down to the last detail: state-of-the-art speaker technologies are incorporated into projects such as the recently launched McLaren W1 model with integrated audio systems – a symbiosis of premium audio technology, innovative InnoKnit material and carbon fiber elements. At the heart of this development process is the Bowers & Wilkins Research and Development Center in Southwater, just a few miles from the McLaren Technology Centre.
